Cross Country Championship races 2017/18

Each year the various local, regional and national governing bodies stage a variety of Cross-Country competions. Typically these will be a main championship race, a Veterans race, and sometimes a relay race.
We've not tried to do them all, so we've taken part in the events listed in the Events here on our website.

Under 15 Boys 4500 metres 11:00 am Ages 13 & 14 on 31st Aug 2017

Under 13 Girls 3000 metres 11:20 am Ages 11 & 12 on 31st Aug 2017

Senior Women 8000 metres 2:05 pm Age must be 20 or over on 31st Aug 2017

Senior Men 15000 metres 2:50 pm Age must be 20 or over on 31st Aug 2017

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE - FOR SENIOR MEN ATHLETES, TIMES WILL STOP BEING RECORDED 90 MINUTES AFTER THE RACE START.

Under 13 Girls & Under 13 Boys must be at least 11 years the old on the day of the Competition. 

 

AWARDS

SEAA medals will be awarded to the first three placed competitors and the scoring team members of the first three placed “A” teams in each group.
Details of the Trophies are listed in the prospectus.
A plaque will be awarded to the winning team and the winning individual in each race.
Trophies will be presented to winners but retained by SEAA

About Us

Folkestone Running Club is a small friendly club for runners aged from 13 years (or Year 8), upwards and ability ranging from elite to those that run less competitively, in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. We also have a partnership club Folkestone Running Club Juniors for the under 13 age group. 

*Please note we are unable to take on any new junior members (13+) until Spring 2018 as we have reached full capacity. 

All adults wishing to join should be capable of running a 5k and be willing/able to join in the workout sessions put on by the coaches.
