Cross Country, Awards, Santa Dash and Park Runs

Tracy Wilkinson-Begg and Emily Chambers were chosen to represent Kent County and wear the Kent County Vest this Saturday to take part in the Regional Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships, Horspath Oxford where the competition is extremely high.    Congratulations both of you.

Andrew Noble represented FRC in the SEAA Masters Cross Country Championships which also took place at Horspath, Oxford  coming 45th MV50 overall.

On Saturday night FRC held their annual Christmas Party and Awards evening at the Burlington Hotel, and great fun was had by all! There were lots of awards for a variety of achievements –

Best Newcomers awards - Russell France and Laura Ballard
Most Improved awards - Darren Crew and Deidre Coombes
Awards for Effort - Paul Bartlett and Jenny Quinn
Contribution to club awards - Mick Dennis and Julie Gibbs
Club Captains award'- Lloyd Worsley and Tracy Wilkinson Begg
Club personality award - Tim Warren and Tracy Wilkinson Begg
Tina Hogg Marshal award - Zoe Neale

On Sunday Anthony Scott and Aldous Hosking took part in the Santa’s Charity Fun Run from Folkestone Town to Sandgate and back, battling against the wind and rain up the Leas, but there was a free santa suit for all competitors!

About Us

Folkestone Running Club is a small friendly club for runners with ability ranging from elite to those that run less competitively, in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. We also have a partnership club Folkestone Running Club Juniors for the under 13 age group. 

All adults wishing to join should be capable of running a 5k and be willing/able to join in the workout sessions put on by the coaches.
