Nick Steele's 2nd Place at Stelling Minnis 10k

It was perfect running weather this weekend and the 3 FRC runners at Stelling Minnis 10k appreciated it with Nick Steele taking 2nd place overall in the race with a time of 37:29   The next FRC member over the line was Linda Smith in 50:34 followed by John O’Hara in 52:00

In Hastings Jane Wren and Alan Randall took part in the annual Hasting 5 Mile starting and finishing at the Town Hall and taking in the stretch of promenade to St Leonards and along to the Old Town. Randall finished in a time of 40:58 and Wren in a time of 40:59

Anthony Scott ran in the beautiful Bewl Water Half Marathon in a time of 01:55:00 (official results not yet published)

In the parkrun this week Tristan Bruce was first man overall in a time of 18:47   The next FRC member over the line was Torben Jessen 19:18, Mark Ellerby 19:30, Stuart Erskine 19:39, Simon Coffey 20:32   Deborah Jeffery was first lady overall in a time of 20:37 followed closely by 2nd lady overall Nikki Goodwin in 20:48   Next FRC member through the finish funnel was Paul Bartlett 21:38, Richard Fowles 22:16, Clive Allon 24:52, Richard Dyer 25:34, Carolyn Lewis 25:43, Malcolm Gibbs 25:58, Kirsty Gardiner 27:41, Trudi Curd 27:42, Julie Gibbs 28:29, Paul James 32:28, Nicola James 37:45, Linda Robson 40:50

Parkrun Tourism this week - Margaret Whitham ran in the Old Deer Park parkrun in a time of 29:34, Alan Vigrass took part in the Ashford parkrun completing it in 26:08,  Kevin Newman ran in the Medina Isle of Wight parkrun in a time of 20:59 and Stephen King ran at Dartford Heath in 30:43

About Us

Folkestone Running Club is a small friendly club for runners with ability ranging from elite to those that run less competitively, in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. We also have a partnership club Folkestone Running Club Juniors for the under 13 age group. 

All adults wishing to join should be capable of running a 5k and be willing/able to join in the workout sessions put on by the coaches.
