The Thanet 20 held by Thanet Road Runners took place this Sunday.  This is a 2 lap course which runs through Cliffsend, Ramsgate and Broadstairs along the picturesque seafront.   Aldous Hosking completed the 20 mile course in an excellent time of 2:44:17   The conditions were extreme this weekend with a freezing wind and rain.  A couple of the Folkestone Runners deserve a mention even though they weren’t able to complete the course – a very well done to Tracy Wilkinson-Begg and Andrew Noble for braving the elements.

Further up country the weather wasn’t quite so treacherous and Anthony Scott completed the Cambridge Half Marathon in a time of 1:41:48 which was a new personal best for him.

In Parkrun this week Andrew Fletcher came first man at The Leas,  Folkestone on Saturday in a time of 17:05 followed in by James Stroud (17:49), David Gillett (19:27), Levi Atwell (19:53), Deborah Jefferey (20:00),  who also came first lady, Peter Rider (20:46), Tim Warren (21:05), Chris Addison (21:20), Andrew Richardson (21:54), Anthony Scott (22.05), David Walbrook (22:39), Benjamin Jefferey (22:50), Brian Davis (23:04), Stephen King (24:27), John O’Hara (24:47), Deidre Coombs (25:03), Richard Dyer (25:30), Kirsty Gardiner (27:57), Trudi Curd (27:58), Richard Fowles (28:50), Louise Fowler (29:59), Caron Inder (30:20), Lisa Smith (34:43) and Kate Lancefield (34:51)
