Weekly Report 5 May 2019

Highlights

  • David Tyler first overall at Walmer and Deal Seafront Parkrun in a PB of 17:39, and Emma Creasy first lady at Folkestone Parkrun. 
  • Parkrun PBs for Joe Bruce (Junior 11-14), first back for the club in 18:49 at Folkestone, and George Rigby (Junior 10) in 20:56.
  • Jenny Quinn took part in the Bedgebury 5k forest paths and trails in and around Bedgebury Pinetum. She finished in 16th place overall in 27:20 and was 3rd in her age category.

Faith Cowell completed the 33.75 mile ultramarathon SVN Charity Challenge at Cyclopark Gravesend in a time of 6:17.

Tony Scott completed the Milton Keynes marathon on Bank Holiday Monday in a PB time of 4 hours 4  minutes.

Missing from last week's report was Zack Dennis who completed the London Marathon in 4 hours 10 minutes.

Folkestone Running Club is a small friendly club for runners aged from 13 years, or Year 8, upwards and ability ranging from elite to beginners in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. 
Training nights: Tuesdays 6.30 - 8pm

About Us

Folkestone Running Club is a small friendly club for runners with ability ranging from elite to those that run less competitively, in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. We also have a partnership club Folkestone Running Club Juniors for the under 13 age group. 

All adults wishing to join should be capable of running a 5k and be willing/able to join in the workout sessions put on by the coaches.
