The Canterbury 10 .. lots of PB's despite the bitter cold.

There were 12 FRC members braving the bitter cold at the Canterbury 10 this weekend.  Nevertheless there were still some very good results and personal bests.  Phil Hoyland came 12th overall in a PB time of 57:12,  Tracy Wilkinson-Begg came 6th lady overall and 1st lady in her age category with a PB time of 1:06:57, Stuart Sprinks 1:09:35, Richard Fowles 1:13:44, Catherine O’Connor in a PB time of 1:17:48, Anthony Scott 1:19:18, Danielle Ingleston 1:21:30, Vicky Scott 1:24:32, Jennifer Quinn with a PB time of 1:25:50, John O’Hara 1:29:13, Gary Brazier in a PB time of 1:34:21, Kelly Flannery 1:44:06, Hayley Kluczynski 1:44:06, Russell France 1:55:43

Clive Allon is through to the semi-finals of the FRC parkrun cup challenge after achieving a PB time and scoring 101.5% against Darren Crew with a score of 99.9%  This Challenge really is still bringing the best out in everyone!!  The other 3 head to heads are still to come.

In the parkrun this week up on The Leas James Stroud was the first FRC member through the finish funnel and 2nd man overall in a time of 17:57, followed by Jean Paul Jeffery 18:56, Darren Crew 19:20, Paul Bartlett 21:15, Anthony Scott 21:55, Clive Allon 23:09, Stuart Erskine 23:14, Deborah Jeffery 23:34, Deirdre Coombs 23:52, Kirsty Wilson 23:59,  Andrew Richardson 25:01, Richard Dyer 25:07, Andrew Smith 25:35, Neil Adams 26:34, Jody Stoakes 27:06, Alan Vigrass 27:06, Linda Robson 27:17, Leah Atwell 28:38, Russell France 29:04, Paul James 33:02, Elizabeth Smith 34:33, Nicola James 37:07

About Us

Folkestone Running Club is a small friendly club for runners with ability ranging from elite to those that run less competitively, in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. We also have a partnership club Folkestone Running Club Juniors for the under 13 age group. 

All adults wishing to join should be capable of running a 5k and be willing/able to join in the workout sessions put on by the coaches.
