Storm Brian can't stop us!!

Darren Crew and Jodie Stoakes ran in the Great South Run, Portsmouth this weekend despite having to battle with Storm Brian for the last 2 miles home along the sea front.  Darren achieved a new  10 mile PB in a time of 1:07:21, knocking 7 minutes off his previous time!!

Faith Cowell ran a fantastic 100 miles in 26 hours 17 minutes.  The Autumn 100 is a 100 mile continuous trail race based in the twinned village of Goring and Streatley on the River Thames.  The course reflects the shape of a cross and takes runners on a series of 4 different 25 mile out a back spurs using sections of the ridgeway and the Thames Path National trails.  Runners are faced with 13 hours of darkness and this year they were also faced with Storm Brian making for very windy conditions.  This is a great achievement for Faith and this is the furthest that an FRC member has run to date!!

First man home at the Folkestone Parkrun this Saturday on the Leas was Andrew Noble in a time of 19:47 followed by Paul Bartlett in 22:31.  First lady overall was Caroline Curtis in a time of 22:59 followed by David Hallett (23:07), Jane Wren (24:53), Alan Randall (26:09), Philip Maull (26:27), Angela Saunders (27:57), Elizabeth Tew (28:02), Louise Fowler (31:15), Kate Lancefield (33:34), Nicola James (37:54) and Paul James (37:55)
