The Ashford Podplus 5 and 10k , the Deal Dinosaur 10k and a new Parkrun Challenge begins ...

It was the 3rd race in Podplus Ashford 5k and 10k 2018 series this Friday at Victoria Park in Ashford.

Alan Randall won MV50 in the 10k race in a time of  52:08 and Jane Wren also won FV45 in the 10k race in 54:41

In the 5k race Jennifer Quinn won the FV35 prize in and her children Shannon and Kimmy came first and second respectively in the childrens race.

On Sunday Anthony Scott and Hayley Kluczynski raced in the Deal Dinosaur 10k  Hayley completed the 10km in a time of 1:00:55

The FRC parkrun challenge started again for a new season with a slight difference.  The first people to compete in the challenge were Nikki Goodwin and Torben Jessen.  Goodwin scored 104.9% (with a PB time) just beating Jessen 102.1% and has gone through to the next heat to compete against either Jenny Raymond or Jason Ransley. The idea is to improve on your seasons best time every time you compete against a fellow FRC member in the league.  It gets harder as the season goes on but gets very exciting as people find that extra bit of push in them that they didn’t know they had!

Torben Jessen was first FRC male through the finish funnel at Folkestone parkrun this week in a time of 19:02 followed by Dominic Woolford 19:25, Nikki Goodwin who was first lady overall in a new PB time of 20:18, Stuart Erskine 20:45, Deborah Jeffery, 2nd lady overall 21:13, Paul Bartlett 21:32, Rob Hill 21:43, Karen Puttock 3rd lady overall in 22:06, Anthony Scott 23:03, David Rodacan 23:28, Vicky Scott 24:07, Carolyn Lewis with a new PB time of 24:50, Richard Dyer 26:03, Gary Brazier 27:37, Elizabeth Tew 31:32, Kate Lancefield 35:21, Linda Robson 37:15

There was a bit of tourism this week with Clive Allon running at Pollok Parkrun, Glasgow in 24:30  Andrew Smith 26:26 and Lisa Smith 33:24 ran at Carlisle Parkrun.
