This weeks news ......

Morgan West competed at the British Elite Duathlon Championships in Bedford on Sunday. He ran the 5km run in 16:15, 18.6km bike in 29:34 and 2.5km run in 9:32 to finish in a total time of 56:16 and finishing 31st.

Hayley Kluczynski ran the Saxon Viking and Norman Hedgehog Challenge at Betteshanger doing 4 laps to make a half marathon in a PB time of 2:13:16

The semi final of the Park Run Challenge took place this weekend and it was very close between Zoe Neale (21:43) and Andrew Noble (18:39) who both ran a PB time but Noble just beat Neale by 1.2% taking him through to the final against Clive Allon. 

Also at the Folkestone parkrun this week a group of original park bench to park run runners celebrated their one year anniversary of running!

Park run results this week -  At Folkestone David Gillett was the second man overall in a time of 18:10, followed by Levi Attwell 18:49, Jean  Paul Jeffery 19:31, Joe Bruce 19:50, Deborah Jeffery 20:54, Simon Coffey 20:54, Caroline Curtis 21:41 third lady overall, Zoe Neale with a new PB 21:43, Darren Crew 22:34, Stuart Erskine 22:37, Hazel Green 24:19, John O’Hara New PB 24:21, Deirdre Coombs 24:22, Alan Randall 24:26, Liam Cumber New PB 25:13, Trudi Curd 28:33, Kirsty Gardiner 29:22, Angela Saunders 29:23, Gary Brazier 30:00, Paul James 31:15, Jane Wren and George Grey 32:18, Shelley Godden-Duske 32:24, Kate Lancefield 34:21, Elizabeth Smith 35:14, Joanne Miller 36:27, Linda Robson 37:59

Clive Allon ran at Pollok Parkrun, Glasgow in 25:02  and at Pegwell Bay Parkrun Stephen O’Brien came first overall in a PB time of 16:20

About Us

Folkestone Running Club is a small friendly club for runners with ability ranging from elite to those that run less competitively, in Folkestone and surrounding areas in Kent. We also have a partnership club Folkestone Running Club Juniors for the under 13 age group. 

All adults wishing to join should be capable of running a 5k and be willing/able to join in the workout sessions put on by the coaches.
