A Spanish 10k, MK Marathon, and Park Run Challenge Final

Elizabeth Tew took part in an unusual 10k in Spain where the winner won their total body weight in hornazo, the local pies!! It was the Carrera Del Hornazo race in Cadiar, a small town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in Southern Spain.  Liz was first VW55 and completed the difficult course, with lots of long steep hills, in a time of 65:25

Anthony Scott ran in the Milton Keynes Marathon this Sunday.  It was a scorching 27 degrees and just to finish in that heat was an amazing feat in itself.

It was also the finals of the FRC Parkrun Challenge between Clive Allon and Andrew Noble -  Clive Allon managed to secure a victory in a very close run – Andrew Noble was 10 seconds off his personal best but Clive managed to shave 10 seconds off of his seasons best.

Our only tourist this weekend was Laura Segust at Ashford parkrun, who completed the 5k course in a time of 25:49
