Kent Schools Cross Country

Yesterday was the Kent Schools Cross Country Championships. This year being held at Kent College Canterbury, with the race going through Blean woods. Two of Folkestone's junior runners were competing yesterday. First up was Laurel Bryce with a brilliant race in a huge field of over 80runners. Laurel completed the 3.3km course in 17.21 coming a fantastic 35th.

Next to run was Joel Lill in the junior boys race. Despite not feeling to well earlier in the week Joel ran an amazing race, with a strong sprint finish to complete the 4.2km course in 19.25 claiming 53rd place, again in a large field of runners.

Both runners did amazingly well and are looking forward to competing at the Southern Cross Country Championships later this month.
